Corporate interview videos that give your company a real voice
Corporate interview videos are the most direct way to let a company speak in the voice of the people who truly build it: the founder, the CEO, the people behind the product. We treat them like a small film, not a simple recording. Because the difference between documenting a story and shaping it comes down entirely to the eye behind the camera.
How we make corporate interview videos, in practice
Behind an effective interview lie many technical and narrative choices: from framing to lighting, all the way to the edit. Elements that work together to give the message strength and clarity.
Pre-production choices
When a company asks us to produce corporate interview videos, we don’t just organise the shoot. We bring to the table the expertise built over years of documentary television productions for Mediaset, Discovery and Rai. In the early planning stages with the brand, it’s important to convey how certain tools like a two-camera setup, a teleprompter or the editorial support of a writer, can put people more at ease, streamline production time and improve the effectiveness of the content. The writer, for example, prepares the material together with the interviewees and then follows the questions on set, making sure the output is right in terms of both delivery and content. Sometimes a portable teleprompter is needed, which lets the interviewee read the text while looking straight into the camera (though it can come across as a little stiff for those who aren’t used to it).
Finding the right location for corporate interview videos
Sometimes we shoot directly at the company’s premises (we start with a location scout to assess the spaces and decide on camera positions). Other times, if they don’t have a space they feel is suitable, we turn to studios. We have partnerships with several of them: it depends on whether we’re after a more corporate look or a warmer atmosphere, whether we need an infinity cove or want to use a green screen. In short, the options are many, and the key is finding the best production choice.
How we run the shoot
If our spirit animal is the dinosaur, our symbol is probably an accordion. We scale to the size of the project: for lean productions we work with an agile, essential setup, while for more complex projects we expand the team and the production structure as needed. Even on lighter productions we generally work with a two-camera setup. It’s a solution that makes interviews more dynamic and gives us greater flexibility in the edit. We use fast lenses and a visual approach that flatters the subject, creating clean, professional images that stay consistent with the brand’s language.
Particular care goes into the lighting. Even in the most ordinary spaces we work to build a balanced, polished image, stepping in when needed with extra lights and small accents that add depth and character to the scene. It’s often these details that make the difference between a simple recording and content that conveys quality and authority.
Tricks of the trade
And then there’s a detail we’ve learned in the field: in front of the camera, people hold a better, more natural posture sitting on a stool rather than sinking into an armchair. That’s why we always bring one with us , our legendary stool, which by now has supported several dozen testimonials!
Bringing it together in post
The work then continues in post-production, where editing, colour grading and sound design all help give shape to the story. When required, we also produce subtitles, language adaptations and localised versions for international markets. These days it’s also common to bring in generative AI elements, such as voice-overs, or images reconstructed or animated with AI to support the story, generated entirely digitally.
The result is content that works everywhere: website, LinkedIn, YouTube, trade fairs, internal communications.
Some of our corporate interview videos
Over the years we’ve produced corporate interview videos for very different brands and sectors: here are a few of them.
Desalto – interviews at Milan Design Week
For Desalto, a design brand and client of Acrimonia Agency, we produced a series of interviews filmed during Design Week, right on the fair floor, with the company’s management and some of the designers behind the brand (Kensaku Oshiro, Luca Pevere). The goal wasn’t a backstage video. It was to convey vision, innovation and creative process through first-hand accounts, bringing out the dialogue between design, research and design culture. Filming at a trade fair is the real test of a lean production: shared spaces, noise, tight windows between one commitment and the next for the people you’re interviewing. Bringing clean image quality into that environment is exactly the kind of work we exist for. We then edited the interviews on a very fast turnaround, delivering one or two a day during Design Week, the period of peak visibility for the sector.
Scalapay – when the set speaks the brand’s language
For Scalapay (the buy-now-pay-later service that lets customers pay in three interest-free instalments) we shot a series of B2B interviews in studio, building the set around the brand’s identity. We used the Scalapay pink to light an 11-metre infinity cove with Arri SkyPanel 120s. On the same day we also shot the spot, using a back-lit PVC panel printed with a clothing store that evokes a real point of sale. The goal was to bring new European merchants on board with the most convincing argument there is: another company saying “we use it and it works”. The testimonials were designed for multiple markets and dubbed in studio with voice talent in five different languages. Among those featured: Scalapay’s founder and the CEOs of several merchant partners, including Bata, Triboo and Mulac Cosmetics.
Ichino Brugnatelli law firm – the testimonial that’s worth a reputation
On the occasion of his nomination and subsequent win at the China Awards 2025, Mr Brugnatelli shared his professional relationship with China. Filmed in the firm’s library, a quiet, formal setting where light and composition have to convey authority without making the subject look stiff. For Ichino Brugnatelli, it became a flagship piece of content for telling the story of its China practice, above all on LinkedIn.
Same method, different sectors
The strength of a lean setup is that it adapts to the context and we’ve filmed interviews across the most varied fields:
- Mecaer Aviation Group: a team-building story in the industrial/aerospace sector;
- Dr Angelo Appiotti: medical explainer content on refractive surgery (ReLEX SMILE XTRA), where clarity and a trustworthy image are everything;
- Ayme: a mini-documentary in which the founder tells the story and philosophy of her swimwear brand;
- Locala: a testimonial video shot for the agency about their client GameLife (formerly GameStop), on how they helped it better target its audience and reassert itself in the offline market too;
Product companies, professional firms, healthcare, fashion: the context changes, not the way we take care of the story.
